I have had so much fun with my latest painting! Working from a photo I took on my recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. The first night we arrived we explored the square near our B&B. While I thouroughly enjoyed all the wonderful historic and natural sights during our trip, as an artist who loves color and whimsey...I was crazy about this window.
The painting, 48"x32" is nearly finished...still working out a few areas and trying to get all the diamonds in the tiaras. I realize now, I have a wealth of inspiration in the thousands of pictures I have taken over the years. Lots of fantastic window shots on my trip to Paris...So, this may be the first of many windows...are a few great doors too.
